Nina called Nash, her voice urgent.

She did not want to wait for a passing car. Who knew when those two would wake up?

If they did, and she was still there, she would have to fight again. She wasn't afraid of fighting, knowing full well that ordinary people couldn't match her. However, she was worried they might bring reinforcements. Nash picked up while driving.

"We ran into some trouble. Can you come get us?" Nina said immediately.

"I'm on my way. Stay safe," Nash replied, not hanging up as he sped towards them.

As the rain began to fall, Nina felt her body growing heavier. She knew it was a fever from her injury, and regretted not bringing her bag. There was medicine in it.

They had been walking for nearly half an hour without seeing a single car pass. Luckily, those two men had not followed them. Maybe they were still unconscious, or maybe they thought Nina and Orion had already left. Just as Nina was about to collapse, a car pulled over.

"Nina, Orion!" Miss Flores exclaimed, shocked to see them. "What happened?"

Nina tried to respond, but her body gave out, and she fainted.

"Nina...!" Miss Flores caught her, then turned to Orion. "Orion, tell me what happened."

"We were attacked by bad people. Mom got hurt," Orion said, his voice trembling as he clung to Nina, calling out for her.

Miss Flores comforted him gently. "We need to get your mom to the hospital. You're a brave little man, right? Help me get her into the car."

Orion wiped his tears and followed Miss Flores, helping as best he could.

After getting them into the car, Miss Flores closed the curtains so Orion couldn't see outside. She handed him a bottle of water. "Don't worry, Orion. We'll be at the hospital soon. Drink some water, okay?"

Being a child, worn out from fear and exhaustion, Orion didn't think twice. He drank the water quickly and soon fell into a deep sleep. Miss Flores smiled to herself, satisfied. She left Nina by the roadside, then sped off.

When Nash arrived and saw Nina

ket

lying unconscious on the ground, panic surged through him. He quickly picked her up and carried her to the car. He then frantically looked around for Orion but saw no sign of him Immediately, he sent out

people to search for Orion.

By morning, Nina woke up in the hospital. Seeing that Orion wasn't there, she got out of bed to look for him. As she opened the door, she ran into the doctor doing rounds.

Grabbing his arm, she asked, "Where's my child? Who brought me to the hospital? Did my child come with me?"

"Mrs. York, your husband brought

you in, but there was no child with

him. Please, go back to bed. I'll have the nurse notify your husband to come right away," the doctor

reassured her, guiding her back to

her bed while the nurse called Nash.

Nash arrived shortly after, greeting her with a smile and gently pinching her cheek. "You gave me such a scare. When I saw that truck, I was terrified. Honey, you're getting bolder by the day." "Where's Orion? Is he home?" Nina's instincts told her something was wrong. If Orion was okay, he would have been with Nash to see her.

Nash hugged her gently, patting her

back softly. "It's okay now. You're still running.a fever, but I've already arranged for someone to take care of Orion. You should stay in the hospital and rest for the next few days. Once you're better, we'll go to Orion's show together."

"Orion went to the recording?" Nina asked, remembering the director's instructions. She mistakenly thought Orion had gone to film the show, which was why he had not come to see her.
